THE NEW IDENTITY OF PFC
Introducing a whole new identity. After more than 7 years, we are saying goodbye to the old logo and a brand new era for PFC.
In cooperation with renowned Czech graphic designer, typography and branding specialist Šimon Matějka, PragueFloorballCup is getting a new coat. The process, which took many months, finally led this collaboration to the final form, which clearly indicates what the PFC is all about. The podium-shaped design and special typography presents a modern and coherent vision that the PFC wants to present in the years to come.
Independent tournaments under the PFC banner are also getting a new look. For PFC WINTER, the "W" has been established as the anchor element, symbolizing the harsh winter and icicles. The SPRING in May builds on the success of last year's event and the melted "G" signifies the spring mood of this tournament.
Martin Forman, the founder and one of the tournament directors, also commented on the process and the final form of the new branding, "It wasn't an easy journey, Simon and I were in contact for over 3 months and there were countless scenarios and versions of how the logo could look. In the end, we came up with something that we are very happy about within the whole team. We wanted to move the logo forward and I think we did that. The cohesiveness of the logo and how we can use it even within each year will help establish PFC as a unique brand within the sporting environment in our country. I'd like to thank everyone involved in this big change and also kind of thank the old logo that gave the tournament a really long run and it wasn't easy to part with it."
