DAY 3 : TROOPS, SHOW and MEXICAN WAVE

The last siren sounded in Vinohrady, Jedenáctka and in the emotional environment of the MINI in Kobylisy. The battle is over and PFC SPRING 2024 is over.

The moments when the youngest participants of the tournament were playing on the individual fields meant that the MINI version of the advancement group matches were full. Even with the help of the improved weather, the atmosphere here today was truly electric and everyone present was treated to the endless amount of battles, goals and emotions that floorball evoked in these kids. And the best ones were then awarded for their skills, which we believe will spark even more motivation in them for the coming years.

Looking back at what has happened so far among the older categories, we have to start at the very beginning of today. In the early hours of the morning, the teams began their journeys through the indiscriminate colossus called the playoffs. Although it may seem startling to the inactive athlete, these moments, where every second, every mistake, every 1 on 1 can make or break the outcome of the tournament. No wonder then that nerves are sometimes on the march and the desire to win sometimes clouds the objective perception of each situation. Holt is a sport, and if all participants are able to shake hands at the end of the match and respectfully congratulate the opponent or wish good luck for the next job, then it is a sport worth striving hard for.

For this year's SPRING, truly unique trophies were created depicting a melted "Géčko" reminiscent of the typical spring weather that has finally arrived. Although the paths of each team to the very top were long, a total of 14 teams eventually made it through to fight it out for the last two sets of medals. For the defeated semi-finalists, that left only bronze and a reason to keep working on themselves.

The finals themselves then began in spectacular fashion, with the teams entering one hall to the deafening sound of smoke, and the other through a sparkling tunnel pointing the finalists and runners-up in the direction of the opening bullpen. Well, when the strains of the national anthem sounded and the top five were familiar to all observers, the referees could finally drop the ball for the opening bullpen. Every final was different, some were clear cut, but for most it was the little things that made the difference and in many cases it was a single goal that could tip the scales one way or the other. From a spectator's point of view, it was really nice floorball and it was so magical to see the spectators at the Eleven when they started the so called "Mexican wave". Players and players are feeling it. The coaches, referees, organizers and maybe even the administrators of each hall. Everyone has an awakening and realization: "this makes sense!"

Last but not least, we need to thank everyone who helped in any way to make this year's Sprint a reality. From the main organizers, to individual hall managers, sergeants, medical staff, to coaches, parents and the players themselves. A big thank you to you and many others for supporting us in this campaign, for seeing the sense in active youth movement and for trying to pass on the right values to future generations.

Thanks and see you again in January...(registration for January is now open (☞ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)☞ HERE )
